Physics and Art
Elementary schools learn how physics and wind can be used to create and power art. They will then be challenged to create a wind powered sustainable energy themed mobile.
Health and Biotechnology
Middle schools begin by learning about how medicine is digested in the human body. They are then tasked with designing and packaging a pill to address a disease as well as a plan to encourage patients to remember to take their pills on a prescribed basis.
MATLAB STEM Challenge
High schools begin by learning to code in MATLAB the most widely used program in engineering. Student teams are then tasked with using this knowledge and their own imaginations with building a fitness tracker. Using sensor data retrieved from smart phones, teams create a model and then an application to inform people about how effective their workouts are.
Space Exploration
High schools research some of the scientific innovations that have been used to explore space up until this point. They will then be challenged to create the next scientific device for space exploration.
